Your First Visit
If you have avoided the doctor because of past negative experiences, I want you to know that your first visit at Monroeville Direct Primary Care is designed to feel safe, respectful, and entirely within your control. Here is exactly what you can expect:
When you walk in, you won’t find a glass window or a stack of clipboard paperwork. You’ll be greeted in a quiet, grounded space designed to help you exhale. I start by ensuring you are comfortable—whether that’s a glass of water or just a moment to settle in.
A Warm Welcome
We don't start on an exam table. We begin by sitting down, face-to-face, to talk. This is your time to share your history, your concerns, and your goals for your health. There is no ticking clock; we have up to 2 hours to ensure you feel heard.
We Start with a Conversation
In many offices, the scale is the first stop. Not here. You will never be asked to step on a scale in a hallway.
Taking measurements is always a conversation, not a requirement.
If I do need biometric data for clinical reasons, it is done privately, with your consent, and with the option for "blind" measurements.
Your Body, Your Choice
A Thorough, Respectful Assessment
If an exam is needed, it is performed with your comfort in mind. I use inclusive equipment—such as appropriately sized blood pressure cuffs—to ensure your physical experience is as comfortable as your conversation. We focus on evidence-based markers of health, such as your energy levels, sleep quality, and labs, rather than just a number on a chart.
A Thorough, Respectful Assessment
Before you leave, we will co-create a plan that fits your life. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of our next steps and the peace of mind that comes from having a doctor who is truly in your corner.
